Can I use 99058 for televisits ?
I am not a coder, but the 99058 doesn’t seem like a good match for most televisits.
Service(s) provided on an emergency basis in the office, which disrupts other scheduled office services, in addition to basic service
Is a typical telehealth visit something which disrupts your schedule? That is, does each one somehow move other patients out of the way, etc.? I don’t think so. Particularly when everyone’s volume is so far down.
Do you see something different?
We have been using our normal office visit codes (99212-99215) with a modifier 95 and location code of 02. So far most reimbursements we have seen come in are in line with our regular OVs with few exceptions.
We found out that some need POS to remain 11 and not 02 and that why payment is much less
