I participated today in the AAP Chapter Chat, they were talking about advocating the Federal Gov. or State for Advanced Payments from Medicaid with the promise that we would maintain access for these patients when this is fading.
Can you please expand?
I was not on that particular chat but it makes sense…the states know they will continue to pay the PMPM payments to practices…why not just advance 3-6 months now and reconcile later. With today’s monster initial unemployment claims report, it is safe to assume that more children will fall onto the Medicaid rolls. Why not just go ahead and throw a lifeline to the practices to help with the cash flow issues as the SAB loans (PPP and EIDL) are taking time to process, etc?
