FWIW, new patient E&Ms appear in Appendix P (CPT Codes That May Be Used For Synchronous Telemedicine Services). That makes them eligible for telemedicine via synchronous audio/video.

Also, be sure to capitalize on the work of an online digital encounter which cannot be billed due to a related office visit within the following seven days into that office visit. CPT states “…work devoted to the online digital E/M service is incorporated into the separately reported E/M visit (eg, additive of visit time for a time- based E/M visit or additive of decision-making complexity for a key component-based E/M visit)”.

We get paid for televisit even for a new patient, under the emergency order. Your table says only established patients.

That wasn’t the case when we published this. You are correct. These things are changing by the day.

Paulie- can you take that down now that it is outdate. I will try to get our update to you.
