Updated guidance from CIGNA.
To summarize, CIGNA will: (thru at least 05/31/20)
–cover telehealth visits USING USUAL E/M codes, at usual payment rates. No cost sharing if related to COVID (so use those diagnoses ICD10 code Z03.818 or Z20.828 for suspected/contact or ICD10 code B97.29 or U07.1 for confirmed disease if applicable) and usual cost sharing for non-COVID E/M services. GQ modifier should be used. CIGNA specifies use of USUAL POS code–11 for office, and does NOT want use of POS 02 even for telehealth visit–THEY SAY IT MAY RESULT IN REDUCED PAYMENT DUE TO SYSTEM LIMITATIONS.
–Cover 5-10 minute telephone calls for ANY condition. Use CPT G2012. No cost sharing.
