I have a question about the mixing of the Covid Vaccine to see if anyone has any insight on this. One of our providers feels that the mixing of the Covid Vaccine is outside of the medical assistant’s scope of practice and should be done by the provider. Our practice is located in Maryland. Has anyone else heard of this?
We are in Virginia, and our NPs or MDs reconstitute our COVID vaccine. It is beyond the scope of practice in Virginia.
