Hello!! I would like to ask fellow pediatricians if they are facing challenges in vaccinating the adolescents against COVID-19. Initially we had many parents ask and ordered the vaccines which of course did not get to our office on time and now I’m having to call the families who initially requested but no luck. Any recommendations on how to improve my vaccination rates, we have even volunteered to vaccinate at back to school bash programs etc. Tried reaching out to health clinics, school districts but only got a cold response.

Yes - it is their parents and not the kids. Some older teens have managed to get it without consent at pharmacies and I always tell over 18 they can sign their own consents. So disheartening .
