We are doing a lot of rapid covid screens in the office. We got the tests free from the health department, so aren’t charging for administering them. But due to the extra time with collecting, reporting, etc, is anyone charging the G2023 for collection?
That code can only be used by clinical labs. It is not for physician offices. It is a shame since we have to use PPE and staff time/resources. Getting the test kits for free is only part of the work involved.
