We have used Wells Fargo for banking and are trying to get PPP through them. On Saturday, we signed up to be on the list of interested businesses. On Sunday, they posted that they were likely at their limit, and wouldn’t be taking anymore applications. Our personal banker there emailed us that it was “first come first serve”. She recommended trying to find funding elsewhere, if we could, and if we got it quicker than from WF, to just decline when/if WF contacted us. She then listed some on-line banks that didn’t require a prior relationship for the PPP.
My question is, has anyone else been successful with starting the application with WF?
and, does casting a wider net to other banks cause concern/confusion when securing the PPP?
