We have been audited for using and billing for audio screening with WCC using CPT code 92552. Most insurance edit the charge and do not pay but a few do and we don’t want to have this paid incorrectly.
What HCPCS code does everyone use that would capture the audio screening as part of the WCC but would not drop down as a billable code?
We found that when we enter results for audio in a WCC, the 92552 automatically drops down. We are allowing the 92552 but not billing for it but this is having to be done manually. Anyone doing anything differently???
