Many payers have stopped paying for Worried Well Z71.1 . What do you recommend using instead when a parent is coming in or during televisit asking questions about the Covid 19, when there are no other issues?
Z03.89 is worth trying . we’ve had it pay…
The coding hotline recommended Z03.818. The concern I have is there is no exposure. Worried well was vague enough to cover everthing, so it worked.
How about billing for anxiety? Or based on the symptom they are calling about (cough, etc…)?

We had a case where mom wanted Tylenol in case her kid gets fever and she cannot go out. Mom has anxiety not kid. No fever mow. How would you handle it other than denying Tylenol?
