Provider being out due to high risk

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle the following situation. I have reached out to our attorney, but as we all are, they are slammed and haven’t gotten back to me yet.

We have a provider that requested to be out of work due to her son being high risk and his doctors advising that she not work given her position. We complied, with no questions asked, rescheduled all of her patients, and she has been out for a week. She is now saying she is coming back on Monday and has found other options for her child.

We do not have a need for her to come back to the office right now due to all of her patients being rescheduled. I am also having a meeting tomorrow with my other staff and providers letting them know that we will be reducing everyone’s hours due to a lack of patients.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
