EMR Telehealth Issues

We use Eclinical Works and have been trying to roll it out and wanted to talk about what is working and what isn’t working.

We are seeing issues with some phones and bandwidth issues, their customer support isn’t as great as we all know, but anyone have anything to add?

So far PC and android work best

Seeing a few of the “Waiting for patient to broadcast” issues.

Personally, I think practices shouldn’t limit themselves to what is integrated with their EMR…there are a lot of good choices out there that can easily run side by side…think of it as your telephone- a medium of communication instead of thinking everyone had to do a televisit within the EMR to achieve success. Most practices sign up with Anytime Pediatrics or Doxy.me and run parallel very effectively…just my 2 cents.

Agreed, but it was a matter of clicking a button and I was able to get started. as you both said on your webcast that its not going to be easy to get a walk through right now.

maybe keep it simple…if possible, focus on the following visits this week:

Med Checks
ADHD Evaluations
New Consults
Pink Eye
Rashes
Constipation
Vomiting/Diarrhea (knowing they may need to come in if concerned, etc)

MEDICARE TELEMEDICINE HEALTH CARE PROVIDER FACT SHEET

It may be for Medicare, but still a good, concise guide.
