We have recently received EOB’S where we have billed 90707 - MMR and 90716-Varicella individually, and Cigna and Aetna are changing those to 90716 (Combo Vaccine Proquad).
Is this happening to anyone else? Anyone know why they are changing the codes?
We have been receiving these as well just over the last few weeks. It started with Tricare but now we have seen Amerigroup, Cigna, BCBS and Aetna do it. And we have never used ProQuad. I’m not sure why this seems to be a systemic thing. Following for answers…
